ACC’s intramural basketball stars will face off against players from the Land Down Under once again Wednesday, Dec. 12. ACC Student Life will host the exhibition basketball game between fall 2012 intramural participants and two traveling amateur teams from Australia, the Tasmanian Institute.

The event kicks off at the Dove Springs Recreation Center (5801 Ainez Dr.) with a tailgate party at 6:45 p.m. featuring prize giveaways, basketball shootouts, and kids activities.

The women’s team will play at 7:30 p.m., and the men’s team tips off at 8:30 p.m. R.B., the ACC Riverbat will make an appearance, so don’t forget the camera!

“We want to invite students, employees, and the community to come support our teams,” says Tracy Partin, ACC intramurals coordinator. “This event gives our students a chance to associate with students from another country in a fun, competitive sport.”
