New Grant Opportunity Promotes Global Perspectives

ACC’s International Programs Office is introducing a new grant for faculty members wanting to integrate an international focus into their teaching.

The Internationalizing Curriculum, Courses, and Instruction grant will fund projects that help students develop an awareness of global issues, cultural diversity, and global interdependence.

“Globalization is impacting the way organizations do business and our culture as a whole,” says William Hayden, International Programs Office interim director. “Finding ways to incorporate an international perspective into curriculum or teaching can enhance student learning — regardless of the course or subject.”

Full-time and adjunct faculty may apply for one of four $1,500 grants. Eligible projects must produce materials such as curriculum modules or print or digital resources that can be integrated into curriculum, courses, or instruction at ACC. Grant applications are due by 5 p.m., March 1. For more information, contact Hayden at [email protected].
