Art Department Displays Work at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

Travelers passing through Austin-Bergstrom International Airport this spring will enjoy artwork by Austin Community College’s Art Department, with pieces by faculty, staff, and students on display.

“Our department has a very talented group of artists, and we value opportunities to exhibit our accomplishments,” says Julie Isaacson, art studios and exhibitions specialist. “The airport certainly provides great exposure, which is part of our mission of promoting our programs and our exceptional art faculty and students.”Â

The collection includes mixed media ranging from found objects and ceramics to cardboard and wood. The work will be featured in glass pylon cases located between gates 7 and 11 through April 9. The art is on display past airport security, an area accessible only to ticketed passengers.
