ACCNet Services has installed software in adjunct faculty offices that will clean and reset computers each night starting this month.
The new software will increase the reliability and stability of these shared machines by:
- Removing viruses, bots, spyware, and non-standard software
- Re-imaging the computers
- Restoring original settings
The software also will permanently remove any files that have been deleted in accordance with FERPA, HIPAA, and other applicable laws protecting the privacy of faculty and students.
File saving options
Faculty members wanting to save files have several options:
- Save files on portable media such as thumb drives, USB drives, CDs, or DVDs.
- Upload files to your 5GB Google drive accessed through your ACCmail account.
The reset process will occur overnight and will not affect computer availability in adjunct suites during business hours.

I believe that our Google Drive storage caps out at 5GB. ACCmail has 25GB of storage.
To the best of my knowledge, these two storage options are separate from each other.

You are correct, Michael. Thanks for catching that.

The 5GB change is now reflected in the story. Thank you for the great catch!
