National Endowment for Humanities Offers Summer Grant Opportunities

ACC’s Grants Development Department invites full-time and adjunct faculty to consider the following opportunities with the National Endowment for Humanities (NEH) 2013 Summer Seminars and Institutes for College and University Teachers.

Summer Seminars

NEH Summer Seminars enable 16 NEH summer scholars, working in collaboration with one or two leading experts, to examine important texts and authors or review significant scholarship about an important historical period or event. Participants have access to a major research collection and time reserved to pursue individual projects.

Summer Institutes

Under the guidance of distinguished scholars, NEH Summer Institutes provide intensive collaborative study of texts, topics, and ideas central to undergraduate teaching in the humanities. The 26 NEH Summer Scholars return to their classrooms with a deeper knowledge of scholarship in key fields of the humanities.

Both NEH awards help cover travel, room and board, and research expenses. For details, contact Mary Harris, executive director for grants development.
