In celebration of Women’s History Month, Northridge Campus (11928 Stonehollow Dr.) will host the Living History Books program Thursday, March 7, with performances from 10 am to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the Northridge library (Building 1000, Room 1223).
The free event will feature performances paying tribute to influential women, with faculty, staff, and students playing the roles of historical figures. Â Performances will include readings, speeches, reenactments, and multimedia presentations. Library staff will display reference works and other materials related to the women portrayed during the event.
“This is always a fun and educational event, and we encourage all faculty, staff, and students to check it out,” says Melinda Townsel, head librarian at Northridge. “We’ve had a wonderful response in past years, and look forward to continuing the tradition.”
