Celebrate Women’s History Month with “Living History Books” March 7

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Northridge Campus (11928 Stonehollow Dr.) will host the Living History Books program Thursday, March 7, with performances from 10 am to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the Northridge library (Building 1000, Room 1223).

The free event will feature performances paying tribute to influential women, with faculty, staff, and students playing the roles of historical figures.  Performances will include readings, speeches, reenactments, and multimedia presentations. Library staff will display reference works and other materials related to the women portrayed during the event.

“This is always a fun and educational event, and we encourage all faculty, staff, and students to check it out,” says Melinda Townsel, head librarian at Northridge. “We’ve had a wonderful response in past years, and look forward to continuing the tradition.”
