Students Invited to Honors Program Reception, April 11

The ACC Honors Program invites current and prospective honors students to the 2013 Honors Program Reception on Thursday, April 11, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Eastview Campus (3401 Webberville Rd., Building 8000, Room 8500).

Honors instructors will preview their upcoming courses and provide a taste of their teaching style. There will also be live music from drum ensemble The Djembabes and the McCallum High School Classical Guitar Program.

Those planning to attend should RSVP on the Honors Program website.

The ACC Honors Program is designed to develop the abilities and potential of highly motivated students as they begin their academic studies and prepare to transfer to a four-year college or university.

Recognized as high achievers by educational institutions, students who complete the ACC Honors Program and meet all major transfer requirements may have priority consideration for admission to certain four-year institutions.

The program provides a unique, seminar environment featuring close interaction with exceptional faculty and other highly motivated honors students. Guest speakers, cultural events, and field trips enhance the challenging and creative learning experience.
