In Memoriam: Nathie Marbury

The college extends condolences to the family of Nathie Marbury, who passed away April 15.

Marbury joined ACC in July 1999 and was a professor with the American Sign Language-Interpreter Training Department at the Rio Grande Campus. She was the first African-American Deaf woman to participate in the National Leadership Training Program for the Deaf at California State University, Northridge, and she led workshops and seminars throughout the United States and Canada. Her enthusiasm for teaching and her dedication to her students will be greatly missed.
