Fulbright Specialist Program Seeks Applicants

ACC faculty are invited to apply for the chance to work with their counterparts from around the world on institutional planning, faculty development, and other topics through the Fulbright Specialist Program.

Sponsored by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), the Fulbright Specialist Program awards grants to faculty and professionals who participate in short-term projects at host institutions in more than 100 countries.

Faculty can apply throughout the year to be added to the Fulbright Specialist Roster for a five-year term. As CIES receives requests from host institutions, roster candidates with the most relevant experience are considered for the final grant selection. Those on the roster are not guaranteed a grant.

Host institution projects generally last 2 to 6 weeks and may involve lecturing, conducting seminars, teacher training, special conferences, or workshops, as well as collaborating on curriculum planning or institutional and faculty development. The grant covers travel expenses, per diem costs, and an honorarium.

Applicants must have a doctorate or terminal degree plus at least five years of teaching or professional experience. Read more about eligibility requirements and eligible disciplines.
