Questions About College? ACC 1-on-1 Has Answers

Austin Community College is opening its ACC 1-on-1 hotline to assist prospective, current, and former students with

questions about classes, registration, and getting started at the college.

From July 15-31, individuals can speak directly with an advisor by calling a dedicated phone number or sending an email. Call (512) 223.7747 or email [email protected]. More information is available at austincc.edu/getstarted.

The hotline is open to anyone interested in college information. This summer’s program includes a special emphasis on reaching out to former students who may have left college due to work or family obligations. Even if students went on to another institution, they may be eligible for a reverse transfer degree.

“ACC 1-on-1 provides immediate answers to your questions,” says Patty Salazar, director of enrollment management. “Whether you want to return to school or are just beginning your college career, ACC has resources that can help you get in the door, successfully earn a degree or certificate, and get into the workforce.”

Registration is open for all those wishing to take classes this fall. In-district tuition is $67 per credit hour, making ACC the most affordable college education in the area. The fall semester starts Monday, Aug. 26.

The college offers more than 100 areas of study. In recent semesters, ACC has expanded career and technical training in high-demand fields such as architectural and engineering computer aided design, culinary arts, biotechnology, real estate, automotive technology, and more.

ACC has an open-door admissions policy, with everyone who meets eligibility criteria encouraged to enroll.
