“We invite everyone to come out and see what the Elgin Campus has to offer,” says Dr. Richard Rhodes, ACC president/CEO. “The new campus is an exciting opportunity not only for the people of Elgin, but for the entire ACC community.”

The new campus is scheduled to open Aug. 12, giving students an opportunity to get advised and register before classes begin Aug. 26. Located on Highway 290, it is the first college campus in Bastrop County.

Students will have access to a broad selection of college classes for university transfer and career training. Elgin Campus also will be home to ACC’s new Sustainable Agriculture Entrepreneurship program, offered through Continuing Education. Students will learn the skills needed to work in the growing sustainable agriculture industry, including potentially operating their own sustainable farms. A veterinary technician program is expected to launch at the campus in spring 2014, under the oversight of the Health Sciences Division.
