Connect to a Future Career Through New Employee Program

ACC’s Human Resources Department is launching “Career Connections” to help employees identify their career goals and create a path for achieving them.

“Career Connections is a progressive, multi-faceted program that starts with helping employees explore jobs – either within or outside ACC – that are best suited to their interests and skills, and then supports them with tools and resources to help them reach their ultimate career goal,” says Geraldine Tucker, vice president of human resources.

Career Connections includes the following components:

Career Exploration: Assessments and related tools to help employees identify the education, training, and career suited to their interests, skills, and abilities.

ACC Career Paths: Tools and information to help employees build upon their talents, knowledge, education, and experience for future career growth at ACC.

Professional Development: Workshops and other training for employees to expand their skills and knowledge, as well as ACC’s Educational Advancement Program, which offers tuition waivers, vouchers, and reimbursement plans to eligible participants.

Career Planning: Career planning tools, including “My Career Plan,” a worksheet to help employees outline the steps they need to take to reach their goal.

“Our faculty and staff are our greatest resource,” Tucker says. “Through Career Connections we are providing resources to help them explore growth opportunities.”

Employees can find out more about the program at workshops at each campus throughout September (see schedule below). Those interested in attending can register here.
