ACC Signs Agreement with Aarhus Business College

Representatives from ACC and Aarhus Business College attend the agreement signing between the colleges.

Austin Community College is partnering with Aarhus Business College in Denmark to expand international learning opportunities for ACC students and faculty. The colleges signed an agreement Nov. 13 reflecting the partnership.

“Growing ACC’s international relationships is a great way to prepare our students for the globally connected workforce,” says Dr. Richard Rhodes, ACC president/CEO. “Through this agreement, we will be able to offer student and faculty exchanges and co-develop courses – creating a richer, more dynamic learning experience.”

A contingent of faculty and students from Aarhus Business College is currently visiting ACC, with the students studying business communications. Following the signing, the group made presentations about their academic and cultural experiences.

“It is of utmost importance to Aarhus Business College that our students achieve international competencies and cultural insight to prepare them for the global labor market,” says Gitte Nielsen, president of Aarhus Business College. “We are extremely proud to enter into a formal cooperation with ACC, and we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”

Representatives from Aarhus visited ACC earlier this year to explore how their students could access some of ACC’s technology-related programs. ACC faculty representatives also traveled to Denmark to lead workshops with Aarhus instructors and administrators about strategies and tools for adult education and distance learning.
