Austin Community College is hosting its first star party of the semester Friday, Feb. 7 – giving the college and community an opportunity to stargaze from the Round Rock Campus observation deck.

The event will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with shows in the Austin Planetarium’s Discovery Dome, a digital mobile planetarium, as well as family-friendly exhibits and interactive science activities (Building 2000 lobby).

The Building 3000 observation deck will open at 8 p.m. Attendees are invited to observe the night sky through the Physical Sciences Department’s telescopes.

“This is a great event for the entire community,” says Dr. Jim Heath, chair of ACC’s Physical Sciences Department. “Our hands-on activities make the star party fun for everyone.”
