Veterans Invited to Open House at ACC’s Electronics & Advanced Technology Department

Event Provides Information on college credit for military training

1-4 p.m. Friday, March 28Â | ACC Riverside Campus, 1020 Grove Blvd., Building S

Veterans with electronics training are invited to attend the College Credit for Heroes open house at Austin Community College from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the ACC Riverside Campus, 1020 Grove Blvd, Building S.

During the event, veterans can hear how they can receive college credit, workforce certifications, and licenses for their military experience.

Open house visitors can tour ACC’s Electronics & Advanced Technologies Department, learn about related associate degrees and certificates, and receive a review of military transcripts for possible credit.

Special guest speaker at the event is Dave Schneider a military veteran who currently is director of operations, maintenance, and engineering for Samsung Austin Semiconductor. He shares his experiences and advice for veterans at 1:30 p.m.
