Find bond election information and updates on new webpage

ACC’s Board of Trustees voted in June to proceed with a November bond and property tax cap election to address ACC’s most urgent needs and position the college for future growth.

The college has created the ACC Bond and Tax Cap Election webpage (austincc.edu/bond) to serve as an informational resource for employees, students, and the broader community. It includes details about the propositions, background information, and a link for submitting questions.

As a reminder, ACC follows state laws prohibiting the use of college resources to advocate for any election measure. The college does not use funds, staff time, or other resources to promote the bond or tax cap increase. ACC can provide factual, educational information about the proposals.

Faculty and staff may advocate for or against any election measure outside of their capacity as an ACC employee. When doing so, employees should make it clear they are acting on their own behalf and on their own time.

If you ever have questions about the type of information you can convey, the college’s Public Information and College Marketing Department can provide specific guidance. Please contact Brette Lea, executive director, at [email protected].
