The Austin Community College District (ACC) will host Veterans Day events at multiple campuses Tuesday, November 11, to honor area veterans.

ACC Elgin Campus (1501 West US Highway 290)

Noon to 2 p.m.

Elgin Campus and RRC Student Services will host a MIA/POW flag raising at the Amphitheater. The event will include light refreshments, music, and door prizes. Exhibitors will be on site, including local veteran organizations and the college’s VetSuccess campus counselor.

Cypress Creek Campus (1555 Cypress Creek Rd.)

3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Student Life will host a WWII veteran speaker in the Student Commons of Building 1000 along with music, free barbecue, and drinks.

Eastview Campus (3401 Webberville Rd.)

6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

ACC Student Veterans Association will gather with other veterans and members of the ACC community in the Multipurpose Room 8500 of Building 8000 to honor regional veterans, encourage and inspire student veterans at ACC to continue in their pursuit of higher education, and provide networking opportunities for veterans and students.
