The workshop, led by ACC professor of economics Michael C. Petrowsky and Dr. Steve Cobb from the University of North Texas, features lessons from the new Council for Economic Education (CEE) publication High School Economics, 3rd Edition.
The new edition features 28 lessons covering current economic challenges, such as international economics, entrepreneurship, inflation, and trade.
“The workshop is designed to get high school teachers excited and give them new ideas to take to the classroom to make learning economics fun,” says Petrowsky. “Lessons are directly relevant to students in today’s economic environment.”
Teachers can network with peers and share resources and methodologies to enhance their courses.
ACC, in partnership with the Texas Council on Economic Education and the University of North Texas, will provide a free copy of High School Economics, 3rd Edition to all participants. Registration is $20 and is open online at economicstexas.org/Events/. For additional assistance contact the Texas Council on Economic Education at (713) 655.1650.Back to Top
