The Texas Tribune, in partnership with Austin Community College and The Texas Politics Project at the University of Texas at Austin, will host “On the Road: A Symposium Previewing the 84th Legislature” Friday, December 5, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at ACC Highland (6001 Airport Blvd., adjacent to campus). The event is free and open to the public.

State legislators and members of the media will participate in a series of panel discussions. Topics to be discussed include the relationship between the House and Senate, the Tea Party agenda, the forthcoming battle over the state budget, and other issues such as public education, energy, transportation, and healthcare.
