ACC invites Austin to Celebrate Asia

Austin Community College invites the community to enjoy live music and Asian cuisine at Celebrate Asia Festival on Wednesday, March 25. The event will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the courtyard of the Northridge Campus, 11928 Stonehollow Drive.

2014 Lunar Year Event

“Celebrate Asia allows our students and the community to enrich their lives by learning about the culture of others and connecting them with faculty and staff beyond the classroom setting,” says Patricia Behr, director of enrollment management.

The festival will feature a number of community partners including the Asian American Resource Center, Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce, Asian Family Support Services of Austin, Austin Fire Department, Austin Police Department, and the Center for Asian American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.

“ACC is proud to be a place where everyone is welcome, and the diversity of our students is what makes the college unique,” Behr says.

In addition to the Celebrate Asia Festival, ACC offers a number of Asian language classes, including Chinese and Japanese. Learn more about these courses at www.austincc.edu/fola.
