Administrative assistant training series begins March 27

ACC administrative assistants can sharpen their skills and learn new tips at a lunch-and-learn series designed specifically for them. Topics will include goal-setting, communication, computer and technical skills, and workplace wellness.

The administrative assistant training series will be 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. on the last Friday of each month from March 27 through July 24 at Highland Business Center. Workshops will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.

Participants are welcome to bring their lunch; light snacks and water will be provided.

Mandatory state compliance training is available to all employees online and through in-person workshops offered in March.

Employees can verify their Americans with Disabilities Act and Sexual Harassment Prevention compliance status online. To register or check compliance requirements visit the Workshops & Event database.

Employees receive tuition funds

The college’s Tuition Reimbursement Program will award funds to 19 employees for advanced coursework they’re completing this spring.

Human Resources, in response to employee feedback, incorporated a lottery to determine reimbursements. Forty-five employees applied for funds this spring. View a recording of the tuition reimbursement lottery.
