The inaugural AustinED Summit drew representatives from secondary and post-secondary schools.

Almost 100 representatives from Central Texas educational institutions gathered at Austin Community College’s Riverside Campus June 11 for the college’s first annual AustinEd Summit.

Attendees discussed secondary and postsecondary instruction, P-16 initiatives, student services, and legislative policies. Institutions and organizations joining ACC for the event were:

• Civitas Learning
• Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
• Texas School for the Deaf
• PelotonU
• The College Board
• The University of Texas at Austin
• Austin, Bastrop, Del Valle, Eanes, Friendswood, Hays, Lago Vista, Lake Travis, Leander, Manor, and Round Rock independent school districts

Attendees shared ideas for promoting student success.

ACC will host the next AustinEd Summit in June 2016.
