ACC hosts open house for students wanting to enroll for fall

Destination: ACC Saturday is a one-day event for students to complete registration

The Austin Community College District is hosting an open house for students who want to sign up for fall classes but haven’t started or haven’t finished the process. Destination: ACC Saturday will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, at three campuses: ACC Highland, Cypress Creek, and Riverside.

“It’s not too late to sign up for fall classes, but the clock is ticking,” says Patty Behr, ACC director of enrollment management. “We have a team of faculty and staff who are eager to welcome and assist students.”

Historically, more than 90 percent of Central Texas high school graduates have said they will attend college directly after high school. Research shows that many begin that process, but about 40 percent never finish registering.

Prospective students and their families can learn about ACC programs, enrollment steps, financial aid, career planning, and transfer guidance. Computer stations and one-on-one assistance will be available for visitors wanting to complete an admissions application or other online steps.

Participants are encouraged to bring the following items for enrollment and registration:

  • Photo ID
  • Proof of residency
  • High school or college assessment scores
  • College or GED transcripts

For more information or to RSVP for the event, visit austincc.edu/destination or contact the Student Recruitment Office at 512 223-7701.
