ACC’s Student Life kicks off fall semester with Riverbat Bash

Austin Community College’s Student Life is hosting the fifth annual Riverbat Bash to kick off  the fall semester from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, at Highland Campus (6101 Airport Blvd.).

“It’s the beginning of a new year and time to celebrate being a Riverbat,” says Cheryl Richard, ACC’s Student Life director. “Every student worked hard to get here. It’s time to have fun. The energy is electrifying.”

The free event is open to the public and features carnival-style inflatables, games, food, and entertainment including a lip-sync battle pitting students against staff. Participants will have an opportunity to win a day pass to the Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Students also will have an opportunity to meet the college’s Student Life team, mingle with faculty and staff, and learn about the support services available at ACC.

For more information visit the Student Life website at austincc.edu/sl or contact Candice Brown at 512-223-2121 or by email at [email protected].

Please note: The West entrance parking lot will close for the Riverbat Bash. It will reopen on Friday, September 18. Faculty, staff, and students may park in the North and East parking lots.
