Start the semester off right and expand your horizons at Austin Community College’s annual Spring Development Day for faculty and staff Friday, January 15.
Professional development workshops run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Most are at Highland Campus, with brief “ACC Ed Talks” happening between morning and afternoon sessions at the social staircase. Planned sessions include:
- Pinpointing Student Learning Obstacles for Accurate Resource Connection: A Multiple Choice Exam Example
- The Power of Listening: The Force Awakens
- Shining a Light on Soft Skills: A Teamwork Challenge for Students
- Understanding the Basics of Working with Students with Disabilities
- Computer Ninja
Breakfast snacks and coffee will be available in the “Fuel Your Inspiration” lounge, and local food trucks will be in the HLC west parking lot (near Airport Blvd.) during lunch.
Participants are encouraged to register for workshops online to secure a spot and receive professional development credit.
