Applications for the 2017-18 Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program will be available online February 1, and are due Monday, August 1.

The Core Fulbright Scholar Program sends more than 800 U.S. faculty and professionals abroad each year. Available grants will be listed on the Fulbright Catalog of Awards webpage.

In the past five years three Austin Community College faculty have received Fulbright Scholar awards. Sociology Professor Dr. Samuel Echevarria-Cruz currently is teaching and performing research in Romania. Jill Brockmann, adjunct assistant professor of business and technical communications, taught in Denmark in fall  2015, and anthropology Professor Dr. Elizabeth Pintar performed archaeological research in Argentina in 2012.
