“Like Hegar, we understand the importance of preparing and building future leaders,” says CPPPS Director Peck Young. “We’ve created innovative programs to encourage students to engage in political and civic environments, enriching their learning experience.”

CPPPS is the nation’s first nonprofit political studies center at a community college. Founded in 2007, the center has built a roster of award-winning student programs, internships, and conferences while continuing to gather support for further innovation and growth.

Luncheon guests will have an opportunity to visit with the CPPPS board and staff along with students who have participated in center programs. Proceeds benefit CPPPS programs and services.

Additionally, CPPPS will present the Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Award to a member of the community.
