New certificate, degree awards
Trustees approved a Continuing Education certificate for the Sustainable Agriculture Entrepreneurship Program. The seven courses currently offered in the program are at enrollment capacity.
The board also approved an Associate of Applied Science degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The program, launching in fall, prepares students for management careers in transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory control, purchasing, and international logistics and includes a Level 1 certificate option for students seeking quick entry into the field.
2016-2017 tuition rates
Trustees unanimously approved previously proposed tuition and fees for 2016-17:
- In-district and out-of-district tuition will remain unchanged at $67 per credit.
- Mandatory fees for all students (general fee, sustainability fee, and student success fee) are unchanged.
- Out-of-district fees will increase $56. (Out-of-district students reside outside the taxing district but within Texas.)
- Out-of-state tuition will increase $58.
