Summer is only halfway over, but it’s not too early to look ahead to fall semester and this year’s General Assembly on Friday, August 26, at the downtown Austin JW Marriott hotel (110 E. Second St.).
This year’s theme is “Navigating the Future.” The morning session begins at 8 a.m. with breakfast and an opportunity to visit information tables.
Featured keynote speaker Garrett Groves, director of the Economic Opportunity Program at the Center for Public Policy Priorities, will discuss “Building Talent Pipelines: Aligning Education, Workforce and Economic Development.”
Free shuttles will be available to the hotel from Highland Campus.
Before taking part in afternoon workshops at Highland Campus, faculty and staff will be able to purchase a convenient lunch from food trucks in the campus west parking lot. Afternoon sessions are 1:30 – 3 p.m. and 3:15 – 4:45 p.m.
