The new building will feature an ACCelerator learning lab, and a “social staircase” where students can gather or sit and study.

Highland phase II

Architectural programming for phase II of Highland Campus is complete. Site utilities and internal roadways in the west and south side of the site are near completion.

Design development is complete and site work begins this fall.

Hays Campus

Architectural programming is complete, and schematic design is underway. Plans for the 38 acres to be developed include an indoor firing range, an emergency vehicle operation course, a simunitions/classroom building, and a swift-water rescue course.

Construction on a new parking lot is ongoing and is expected to be complete this fall.

Districtwide renovations

Multiple projects are underway, including work to create temporary space in the Highland building to accommodate the art, dance, and drama programs during the Rio Grande Campus renovation. The space to be developed for these programs is not within the Highland phase II project space.
