Austin Community College students, faculty, and staff are invited to learn about staying healthy and fit at a Health and Wellness Fair 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, at Highland Campus.
More than 30 ACC departments and community organizations will share information and give demonstrations on topics relating to physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual wellness. Groups and vendors will be arranged by category to make it easier for visitors to explore various aspects of healthy living and connect with community resources.
A few of the participating groups:
- Capital Area Counseling
- Samaritan Center
- 9Round Fitness
- Sol Healing and Wellness Center
- ACC Student Life
- ACC Kinesiology Department
- ACC Culinary Department
In addition, Herb Coleman, director of campus technology services, will present a workshop, “From Texting to Pokemon: Is Technology Addictive?” at 11 a.m. at the campus social staircase.
