ACC recognizes new National Society of Collegiate Scholars members

Austin Community College District (ACC) will host its second annual National Society of Collegiate Scholars ACC Chapter (NSCS) Induction Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 29, at Eastview Campus, Building 8000, Room 8500 (3401 Webberville Rd.).

“It’s an opportunity to recognize students who have gone above and beyond academically,” says Ted Hadzi-Antich Jr., assistant professor of government. “The ceremony will recognize new NSCS members as they are inducted into the national honors society.”

Introductory remarks will be delivered by Dr. Charles Cook, ACC provost, and this year’s keynote speaker is Lyman Grant, ACC interim dean of communications.

The NSCS is a nationally-recognized organization for high achieving students. Students who carry a 3.4 grade point average or higher and rank in the top 20 percent of their college class receive a special invitation to join the organization.
