The ACC community contributed $61,700 to this year’s State Employee Charitable Campaign, exceeding last year’s donations by more than $2,000.
The October campaign collected donations for local and national charities including the Capital Area Food Bank, American Red Cross of Central Texas, March of Dimes, and Habitat for Humanity. Employees donated more than $13,000 to the ACC Foundation.
Highland Business Center raised the most contributions with more than $11,800, followed by Rio Grande Campus with more than $6,800. Elgin Campus raised the most donations per capita, followed by Pinnacle Campus. Northridge and Round Rock campuses raised the most through charity events.
“On behalf of the non-profit organizations and the college, many thanks to everyone who made this year’s SECC campaign a success,” said Geraldine Tucker, vice president of human resources. “Our contributions are making a difference in our community.”
