Faculty: Apply for Summer Institute by April 24

Faculty who want to incorporate dynamic and interactive educational strategies into their instruction are invited to apply to Project ACC’s Summer Institute on Engaged & Active Teaching. The weeklong institute is June 5-9 at the Highland Business Center.

Hosted by the Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning (FCTL) and led by 2016-17 Project ACC Faculty Fellows, the event gives faculty a chance to come together for interactive plenary and breakout sessions. The purpose is to give instructors new tools to explore and implement engaged and active teaching strategies in their classrooms.

Sessions are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily; breakfast and lunch are provided. Faculty who complete the week receive a $200 stipend. Those who pilot new strategies in their fall courses have an opportunity to earn an additional $200 stipend.

Visit the Summer Institute website to learn details and apply. Participation is limited to 50 faculty. Applications are due Monday, April 24.
