ACC hosts largest graduating class at spring commencement

The Austin Community College District (ACC) will celebrate its spring graduates during commencement 6 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at the Frank Erwin Center (1701 Red River St.).

More than 1,850 students are invited to participate in spring commencement. In addition, more than 2,700 were invited to fall commencement in December, marking the college’s largest group of candidates in a single year. The ceremony honors students who have completed ACC’s associate degree and certificate programs for the spring semester. The college also will recognize its graduating veterans with medallions in appreciation of their service.

Drs. Byron and Kay McClenney will deliver a joint keynote address. With careers spanning more than 30 years in higher education, the McClenneys are distinguished educators and leaders devoted to student success.
