Austin Community College ‘tops out’ construction on new campus in Leander

Construction crews in Leander “topped out” the new 100-acre Austin Community College campus on Wednesday.

The San Gabirel Campus was funded by a 2014 voter-approved bond and will be the district’s 12th campus.

Guests were invited to sign the building’s last beam before a crane lifted it into place.

The new college will be located at 640 Mel Mathis Blvd. in Leander.
