Eligible ACC students, faculty, and staff can ride Capital Metro for free with an ACC Green Pass beginning fall semester.
The Board of Trustees voted Monday, July 9, to eliminate the $25 Green Pass user fee when it approved a new interlocal agreement with Capital Metro. The five-year agreement means ACC will pay Capital Metro an $429,000 annual fee in its first year in exchange for passes for its students, faculty, and staff.
The Green Pass allows free rides on all Metro bus and rail services, including its priority service with fewer stops for faster commuting. The pass also allows unlimited Special Transit Services (Accessibility Service).
Students and employees may obtain a Green Pass at a Cashier Office or Campus Administration Office. The pass is valid for one semester. The fall semester pass will be available August 13, 2018 through January 13, 2019.
