ACC hosts “The Red Bench: Conversations that Matter,” a dialogue program designed to improve interfaith understanding and civil discourse in our society, on April 4.
Dr. Antonio Ramirez, ACC Department of Philosophy interim chair, will present a talk on the topic of “Empathy for Those Who Differ From Us.” Trained students will serve as table hosts moderating the dialogue.
The event is a collaboration among Interfaith Action of Central Texas (iACT); ACC’s Office of Experiential Learning; and the college’s Philosophy, Religion, and Humanities Department.
Each iACT Red Bench event is centered around a challenging topic that invites discussion through moderated table conversations by trained volunteers.
