The opportunity to give continues by bidding on one-of-a-kind artwork from the third annual Boots & Bats Gala. The silent auction is back open. Every dollar raised supports student scholarships.

The Boots & Bats Gala is hosted in partnership between Austin Community College District (ACC) and renowned Southwest artist Amado Peña’s Art Has Heart Foundation. So far, the 2023 gala has raised more than $200,000.

“Scholarships remove barriers and serve as a bridge to help students achieve their dreams. Receiving a scholarship provides a way for students to make it,” says ACC Chancellor Dr. Richard Rhodes. “Investing in a student’s education through scholarship donation is more than a financial contribution. It is a vote of confidence in their potential.” 

The auction includes artwork from national, local, and student artists ranging from paintings and ceramics to jewelry and boots. Auction items begin at 50 percent of their total value.
