U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo paid a visit to Austin Community College District (ACC) and shed light on the booming manufacturing industry in Central Texas.
During her February visit, Secretary Raimondo stopped at ACC’s IMPACT Lab–– the college’s manufacturing incubator–– and hosted a roundtable discussion focused on the CHIPS for America Act. ACC faculty, students, business partners, and local lawmakers, including Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, joined the discussion.
ACC is at the forefront of developing advanced manufacturing and semiconductor workforce training programs. ACC continues to play a vital role in shaping the semiconductor industry’s future in Texas.
