ACC closes in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Austin Community College District (ACC) is closed Monday, January 15, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The college will reopen Tuesday, January 16, which marks the first day of the spring semester.

With support from the college’s Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (THRT) Campus Center, ACC will participate in an event to honor Dr. King’s life and legacy. It is free and open to the community. 

  • Honoring MLK March | 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. MARCH SHORTENED & FESTIVAL POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER
    • The annual community march celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy. Participants will gather at the MLK statue on the University of Texas Campus for a short program. The march will then head to the south steps of the Capitol for a rally before concluding at Huston-Tillotson University for the MLK community festival.
