Austin Community College District (ACC) is one of the top transfer colleges in Texas, according to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Nearly 45% of ACC students plan to transfer to a four-year institution to reach their academic goals.
To help students take their next steps, the college hosts Transfer Week from February 12 through February 16. Twenty universities will be on-site to meet with students and answer their questions. Participating institutions include The University of Texas at Austin, Texas State, Concordia University-Texas, St. Edward’s University, Texas A&M, and more.

Why Start at ACC:
- Many students come to ACC to take undergraduate basics — like science, history, math, and foreign language courses — before transferring to a four-year university. By paying the lowest tuition in Central Texas, you can save more than 70% on tuition with your core curriculum classes before taking upper-level courses for your degree.
- Class sizes are small, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get to know your professors. The college offers virtual, in-person, and hybrid options for 16-, 14-, 12-, and 8-week semesters; with flexible scheduling, take the classes that work best for you.
- With support services like free tutoring, additional financial options to help students pay for college, and resources like food pantries and childcare, help is always available — both online and in-person!
- Our Transfer Services team is available year-round to help you make the move from ACC to another institution through workshops and college fairs, offer one-on-one assistance with transfer applications, and much more.
