Three Austin Community College District (ACC) Board seats will be up for election during this November’s General Election. The ACC Board of Trustees called the election to fill Trustee Places 7, 8, and 9, at its regular board meeting Monday, August 5. 

ACC Trustees serve staggered six-year terms and are elected at-large by registered voters who live within the ACC District, which includes the City of Austin as well as the Austin, Leander, Manor, Del Valle, Round Rock, Elgin, and Hays independent school districts. 

The three terms set to expire this year include:

• Place 7: Dr. Barbara P. Mink (current board chair)
• Place 8: Ms. Stephanie Ann Gharakhanian
• Place 9: Ms. Julie Ann Nitsch

The candidate filing period for these seats ends on Monday, August 19. The general election is Tuesday, November 5.
