Get to and from Austin Community College District (ACC) campuses for FREE, with the CapMetro Green Pass. Just in time for the fall semester, the Board of Trustees unanimously approved a one-year contract extension during its regular meeting on Monday, August 5.
With the Green Pass, most students and employees can travel effortlessly (and for free) across the entire CapMetro transit network, including rides on:
- CapMetro Fixed Route Service,
- Express Bus Service,
- MetroAccess,
- MetroRail services,
- and limited-area shared ride service, Pickup
Who’s Eligible for the Free Green Pass
Green Passes are available to students enrolled in ACC credit classes, Adult Education students, and ACC faculty and staff. Starting in fall 2024, active hourly employees also will be eligible.

Applications for fall 2024 will be available starting Monday, August 12.
