Austin Community College District (ACC) will be closed on Monday, November 11. in observance of Veterans Day. The federal holiday honors U.S. Armed Forces veterans, including ACC military veteran students, faculty, and staff.
Classes and campus services will resume their regular schedules on Tuesday, November 12.
In recognition of the national holiday, ACC hosts a series of breakfasts and luncheons to celebrate and honor ACC veterans. A list of events is below.
Tuesday, November 12
South Austin Campus | Breakfast from 8:30–10:30 a.m.
Hays, Round Rock & Riverside campuses | Lunch from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, November 13
San Gabriel Campus | Breakfast from 8:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m.
Cypress Creek & Northridge campuses | Lunch from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Thursday, November 14
Rio Grande Campus | Breakfast from 8:30–10:30 a.m.
Highland & Eastview campuses | Lunch from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Veterans are asked to register in advance to ensure there is enough food. RSVP HERE.
Students can also visit the Veterans Resource Center at ACC Highland Campus for grab-and-go snacks, coffee, and swag throughout the week.
Registration for the spring semester remains open. The College offers flexible course options, including in-person, online, hybrid, and hyflex classes. Spring classes begin Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
