ACC celebrates 2025 Black History Month with series of events

February is Black History Month, a time to celebrate Black Americans’ contributions to culture and society. This year’s theme, “African Americans and Labor,” honors the impact of Black Americans on our culture and achievements. Austin Community College District (ACC) celebrates with a series of in-person and hybrid events. 

Highlights include:

  • “The Bold Way” Podcast Discussions
  • Black History Trivia
  • Soulfood Cooking Demo
  • Creative Writing Sessions
  • And more!

Events are free, open to all, and held across ACC campuses, including the African-American Cultural Center (Eastview Campus) and the Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Center (Highland Campus).

All events are sponsored by the College, the Office of Belonging & Purpose, ACC African-American Cultural Center, ACC Truth, Racial Healing &Transformation Center, Bold Representation of Achievement through Student Support (BRASS), and the Austin Chapter of the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education (TABPHE).
