ACC Celebrates Earth Week 2025 With Sustainability Events Across Campuses

Austin Community College District (ACC) invites students, faculty, and staff to celebrate Earth Week 2025 from April 21-25. With over 70 free events across the district, the week highlights ACC’s commitment to sustainability through hands-on activities, educational workshops, and community initiatives.

Earth Week Featured Events

  • Cultural Center Showcases – Learn more about each of ACC’s Cultural Centers at one of the interactive events each day.
  • Student-Led Seminars – Join fellow Riverbats to learn more about trees and mental health, food waste prevention, light pollution, and more.
  • Potted Plant Parties – Available at multiple campuses, offering opportunities to plant and take home native seeds or herbs.
  • Free Book Swaps – Encouraging reuse and sustainability at Highland, Rio Grande, Cypress Creek, and other campuses.
  • Eco-Friendly DIY Workshops – Make bird feeders, seed balls, and upcycled crafts at various locations.
  • Volunteer & Cleanup Events – From guided nature walks to pollinator garden projects, get involved in hands-on sustainability efforts.

The week also features campus sustainability fairs, film screenings, and cultural center showcases focusing on environmental justice.
