For 50 years, Austin Community College District (ACC) has showcased the work of emerging student artists across Central Texas. This spring, the College marks that milestone with its 50th Annual ACC Student Art Exhibition, now on display through June 25 at Gallery 2000 on the Highland Campus.
50th Annual ACC Student Art Exhibition
Dates: April 28 – June 25, 2026
Location: Gallery 2000, ACC Highland Campus
The exhibition features selected student work from ACC studio art, jewelry, and welding technology classes created during the current academic year. The showcase spans a wide range of disciplines, including ceramics, drawing, digital media, jewelry, metal design, painting, printmaking, and sculpture.
Selected by faculty across the College, the exhibition highlights both creative exploration and hands-on technical skill development, reflecting the intersection of art, craftsmanship, and workforce-ready training.
“This exhibition is about more than displaying artwork. It’s about students getting a chance to share their ideas, perspectives, and creative growth with the community,” says Peter Bonfitto, Director of Galleries and Exhibition Programming. “It reflects the incredible range of voices and experiences our students bring into their work and the important role creative spaces play in connecting people and ideas.”
The annual exhibition is one of ACC’s longest-running public arts traditions and reflects the College’s continued investment in accessible arts education and the region’s growing creative community.
In addition to traditional studio arts, the exhibition also highlights work from welding and metal fabrication courses, offering visitors an opportunity to experience how technical training and artistic practice increasingly overlap in modern creative industries.
The exhibition is free and open to the public.
The Art Galleries at ACC (TAG) support student artists through exhibitions, public programs, and community-centered creative spaces across the District.
