AUSTIN, TX (March 12, 2009) – The Culinary Arts Program has lit the stove and is ready to take your order. Its American Regional Cuisine Restaurant is serving lunch this semester at the Eastview Campus, 3401 Webberville Road.
The restaurant opens 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday between March 25 and May 6 in Building 3000. Students serve as chefs, waitstaff, and maitres d’ under the watchful eye of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management program faculty.
The public, along with students and ACC employees, are invited to dine at Le’Bistrette. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance. Contact Brian Hay at (512) 223.5173 or [email protected].
This semester’s menu features such items as Fresh Chicken Tortilla Soup, Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza, and Grilled Chicken and Bowtie Pasta served in a Roasted Garlic Cream Sauce. Most dishes range from $4 to $7.

Soups and Salads
Fresh Chicken Tortilla Soup
Marinated chicken grilled, shredded and combined with a rich chicken stock, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and finished with crisp tortilla strips. $4
California Fusion
Marinated shrimp sautéed with garlic, ginger and peppers and finished with our homemade vegetable stock and fresh cilantro. $4
Chicken Caesar Salad
A large version of our homemade Caesar salad served with grilled chicken and our own homemade dressing. $5
Sandwiches and Entrees
Atlantic Style Fish and Chips
A generous portion of hand battered cod, deep fried until golden and served over our French fries. $7
Blue Cheese Burger
A burger covered with Brazos Blue cheese and brown sugar bacon. $7
Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza
Authentic deep dish pizza filled with generous portions of meat and cheese. Big enough for two. $10
Grilled Chicken and Bowtie Pasta served in a Roasted Garlic Cream Sauce
Marinated chicken tossed into bowtie pasta with sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and prosciutto and covered with a roasted garlic cream sauce. $7
Grilled Chicken Club Wrap
Grilled marinated chicken served with Brazos Rosemary Garlic Jack Cheese, Black Forest ham and bacon. $7
Pastrami Sandwich
Our version of a New York Deli Style Sandwich. A pile of homemade pastrami and coleslaw stacked on our homemade bread. $7

So glad you’re doing this but shouldn’t there be no apostrophe in the name of the restaurant? My French isn’t perfect but I don’t think there’s any apostrophe.

I hate that restaurants have to pander to vegetarians and vegans. Make what you want and these people don’t have to go.

Although I am not a vegetarian myself, my husband is and I personally think it’s nice when restaurants ‘pander’ to both types of clientele.
